My brother in laws brother has a beutiful 4th geneation Honda prelude with some performance mods on it and a h22 vtech with 200hp so on and so forth..... His friends (one with an srt-4 and a volkswagon golf gti) decided it would be cool to race each other, so they go for it. The prelude downshifts and he gives them a blast. He hits 130kms and starts to fishtail. He ends up spinning and eventually hits a sidewalk and starts to flip over. After the flips he slides upside down like 80 ft, his car at this point was damged from top to bottom. He's fine, luckily he was wearing his seatbelt otherwise he would've snapped his neck.... Goes to show you why these kids think they're Micheal Schumacher and its the reason why our insurance is screwing us in the ass continuously like theyre running out of lube......

QUOTE(nObOdy @ Mar 2, 2005 - 12:56 AM) Where are you getting your facts from? 88 percent?? I was talking about actual wrecks - not wreckless tickets.. And as i stated in my earlier post i agree with you it can be dangerous - i was pushing that if you do it correctly it minimizes the risks drastically Then again - i live in montana... so its different here - we can find a road where no one is on nor will they be for about an hour - some roads are used that infrequently.. your friend was being a moron. 200mhps is insane speeds and i would not do them even on the streets i described to you - its too fast. road imbalances among other things would make it crazy dangerous.. but going 85 isnt going to kill anyone if your in the right area - and man, dont worry about being mad - **** id be mad as well almost lost your close friend - he killed his girl thats just stupid. anyhow.. i hope everything with him turns out... nObOdy He said 200 kmph not mph, I'd like to see a civic that does 200 mph. In europe people drive on the audobahn at any speed they want. I know I drove on it before, I did 200+ kmph its not a big deal. Cars there the suspension is different than our cars, and can handle those speeds easily. |
