I am the owner of a Celica GT-4 JMD and my previous car was a WRX.
I`m driving the GT-4 for 10 days now and as long i`m driving the GT-4 i am discovering what an excellent car it is. First of all i moved to the GT-4 because of reliability. The WRX i had was a Version 4 JDM excellent performance and handling but nothing more, you have to be careful with a lot of things like dont shift from high rpm because the Gearbox are very sensitive, dont work the turbo too much because of the oil temp, dont push it so much at high rpms because the rods are sensitive e.t.c. and i am asking you "THEN WHY TO HAVE A FAST CAR LIKE THAT AND AFRAID TO DO WHAT YOU BOUGHT IT FOR???" because if you want to buy a WRX you are not going to buy it just for the name or to have a walk at the park. And besides after all isnt a real sport car(doesnt even have the look),is so cheap inside(interior) and it has so expensive parts. Now,having the GT-4 i really feel that i`m driving a sports car i`m pushing it, it has excellent handling like the WRX,very nice interior and also exterior and its really a quality car that deserve all the money you spend on it. So the point isnt who is going to win the race, but who is going to keep up with the race and stay in time. I am very lucky own a Celica. |

yeah the WRX is geared for low end torque, that way you can cane it at high revs at low and mid bands but the revs will max out about 140-145, but what rally car will do that speed in the twisty roads in the forests of Finland or any other of the world rally circuits. Its built for stop and start speed bursting not for straight line racing.... ![]() |
