There's a link to the hotshot headers for the 5S-FE. I'm not sure if this is the same company that is making headers for that big group buy or not. Either way, here's some info on it. EDIT: Checked it, it's definately not the same as the group buy one. But this one is $457. This one seems to be from a lot more creditable place though. Bad thing is its for the 90-93 5S-FE, but it should fit with/without mild mods. Correct me if I'm wrong. QUOTE(Kwanza26 @ Feb 28, 2005 - 10:30 PM) QUOTE(spunky393 @ Mar 1, 2005 - 3:02 AM) I've explained this numerous of time in numerous post. The way the 90-93 5s-fe engine sits in the celica, and then the 5s-fe that sits in the mr2 are flat. No degree, meaning, when if you buy a header for the engine, but it's made for the mr2 or the 5th gen celica, it won't work. You would have to completely bend pipes the wrong way, and it would OF COURSE effect the outcome of the headers, may even be worst than what we got now. I disagree with that... The only modifications will be done after the runners... after or at the collector. This should not affect how the exhaust gasses are pulsed and should not affect performance to any major degree... and to make an aftermarket header worst than stock... that's gonna be very hard, considering the stocker uses small runners and has a built-in cat... ;] First off. Kwansa is right, the only mods would be the the downpipe. I've reseached this extinsively. Second, that being settalled, this header is for the 2.2 liter celica. Didn't you check the link? The only difference is for ours is it is a 90-93 header. As I have explained in my previous posts, I don't think this will be a problem. Third, if I don't get this header, I'm getting one for an mr2 and putting on my car just to prove that it's possable and not that hard. And the chances of that being done are more than me buying the celica header. EDIT: Nice car there spunky. I like the real clean white cars. Makes me want to go out and buy some OEM skirts real bad. HAHA, thanks! But what i meant, the difference between the celica, is if you put a header made for the 90-93 of mr2 on a 94-99 celica (all three 5s-fe 2.2L engine), the end of the header will be pointing at the ground. -------------------- The most important lesson I learned from Karate-Dō Kyōshan – “You can not be what you do not believe you are” |

I've explained many times also... only slight modification to the collector/downpipe is neccesary to fix that problem. The only way your argument would hold water, is if the blocks are physically different, but they are NOT. The exhaust manifold will bolt up the same way no matter what direction the engine is facing, tilting, sitting, floating, standing, you name it. Let me remind you, the engine does not bend. The ONLY part that points to the ground, is the downpipe... and that can be correct with about 30.00 worth of work from any decent exhaust shop. Because the modification is AFTER the collector, there will be NO affect to how the exhaust gases flow from the runners. You keep saying the same thing, yet you've never tried to explain anything. The engines are the essentially the SAME. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
