QUOTE(jgreening @ Mar 4, 2005 - 2:28 PM) QUOTE o sounds easy enough dont forget you will have to have a piece to extend, mate the seams, sand it smooth, make sure you get the correct contours in the extension, prep and paint the whole bumper. Easy / Difficult is subjective and just because madmods can do it "easily", doesn't mean everyone can. I agree, you got to have experience with fiberglass. I learned how to work with fiberglass after watching some videos. Its really not that hard to work with, but it takes some practice. QUOTE(lil_lissa @ Mar 4, 2005 - 4:50 PM) thats something a body shop would know how to do thoguh coreect? thats the kit im looking at getting for my convertible and knew about the extensions, but if i take the kit to the place im gunna get it installed and painted at, they'll know how to extend it correct? Melissa, I would call and make sure the got fiberglass experience. It would be a mistake for them to try to extend the piece witha any other material except fiberglass or carbon |
