i bought these 2 audiobahn 400 watt amps and i am trying to find a good amp well i think i found one but i am not sure how it will work can someone help me the amp information is:well down bottom it says 1x800 watts rms does this mean that the amp only puts out 800 watts. this questions might seem stupid but i am new at the audio thing. and also will my radio and regular speakers run off the amp or will they stay the same like they are. will i need more watt for the speakers and the head unit??sorry i am an idiot about this stuff i never really wanted to mess with to much audio till now. also one more thing will this amp suit what i need??

Well first off. You need to tell us what you are using? (stock head unit? Speakers, subwoofer,.... that sort of thing) Secondly, The rms watts is the important figure when considering amp power. You need to match the Amp's RMS with the subwoofer max handling RMS. --------"and also will my radio and regular speakers run off the amp or will they stay the same like they are" well that depends on how you hook it up. Do you want your amp to handle all the channels( every speaker) , OR do you want your head unit (reciever ) to keep deleivering signal and power to the speakers, and have a different amp for the subwoofer. Simply.. you have not provided enough information for us to solve the problem. And I'll just let the audio pro-s give you more of a thorough solution, after you have answer my questions. |
