I just got off the phone with my buddy at Mad Mods here in Florida. I want to make my 95 celica GT a targa top. He said to make a custom kit would cost about $3000 to $4000 because the car has to be reinforced and stuff. Does this sound right and is there a kit anywhere (such as a universal kit) that could possibly fit? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

is there a way to do it? Yes there is.
Messing with my own car i have learned a few things. I also have what I call a working van and me and my step father do everything impossible to it. To do the targa yourself you need: -make a roll cage if you are concearned with safety. I'd go with classic H style mounted along the body of the car. -cut out the roof, add targa top accesories (ie from home depot) .. etc total cost will be no more than a 1000, hard to do, but totally worth it. -------------------- Captain Pessimist
