i bought these 2 audiobahn 400 watt amps and i am trying to find a good amp well i think i found one but i am not sure how it will work can someone help me the amp information is:well down bottom it says 1x800 watts rms does this mean that the amp only puts out 800 watts. this questions might seem stupid but i am new at the audio thing. and also will my radio and regular speakers run off the amp or will they stay the same like they are. will i need more watt for the speakers and the head unit??sorry i am an idiot about this stuff i never really wanted to mess with to much audio till now. also one more thing will this amp suit what i need??

Dude - stop while you can with the audobahn - i work at best buy.. dealt with car audio and ive had nothing but trouble with them
Keep your subs, since you've already bought them , keep your deck - its probably not too bad - it is not an icon deck and they are not known for their superior sounding head units but it will do JUST fine. no need to spend money unless you have to The amp your looking for, for those quality of subwoofers doesnt need to be a fosgate - though that's what id recommend look into a sony x1000 it does very nice power though its not flashey nor is it top of the line i picked mine up for 200 dollars and it did great for what i wanted - provided powerfull bass. till someone stole it that is but thats a different story. Your subwoofers may tell you that they can handle 800 rms combined but thats bull**** - its very rare to find speakers that acutally output their recommended bass. in fact i bet they probably output 200-300 rms not their stated 400 rms, or if they do 400rms they would blow at that output and anyways it does not neccesarily matter - a friend of mine has 2 15 inch audiobahns with a 4000 watt amp and my ex 1000watt sony amp with no name Qpower subwoofers (rated at 1000 wat max each) 10 inches kicked and sounded MUCH better than his. SO DONT buy that audiobahn amp.. they suck really - Power is a very important part of your soundsystem - it is where people **** up the most - they go for the good speakers but the SYSTEM quality is where its at you cant skimp and expect good results.. if you want any other model info just ask.. sadly i know them.. Oh yea as for powering your 4 speakers off the amp dont do it unless you buy a 4 channell amp. there is no point the 50 watts your getting out of your deck will be more than enough try it and see if you want more if you do post back and ill tell you how to do it. tis not difficult but it could take some time. anyhow if you do have any other questions just give me a holler. nobody65@gmail.com later nobody |
