Hi all,
I am 99.9% sure I will order these rims next week. I have decided on 18x7.5 Tenzo RS5 - Silver. Why you ask? Well, it's because of Cormudgen. I saw is old posts and I fell in love with his 18x7.5 5Zigens Copse wheels. Later I found out that 5Zigen discountinued them. So, the Tenzo's are similiar (if not exactly the same). I have read that they are a few pounds (weight, not $) less than the 5Zigens, so thats always good. Anyways, in my opinion, it seemed Cormudgen had the perfect offset which was +35. Later he said he wished he would have gone +38 offset. Taking that into account I have decided on +38 offset as well. I just want something that doesn't looked too tucked-in and is in-line with the body/fender as possible. As for lowering, I am not planning to go extreme (I want to avoid rubbing at all costs). Wheels: 225/40/18. I was thinking 225/35/18, but since I am the most careless driver, I want the most protection for the rims and a smooth ride. I was/am alittle unsure of tire series but I think 40 series will be ok (I think?). I know if I do this the diameter will be larger than stock ...etc, we all know the "speedometer not ready correctly" story. Is it that big of an issue, other than you have to remember to keep in mind ur goin a few miles faster? Is my transmition affected? Just wanted yalls opinions just in case I am about to make a terrible mistake as far as sizing is concerned? PS: I have been searching the forum for "offset", "18x7.5", etc. the entire afternoon!... I just thought I was getting nowhere, just because everyone has their different wheel specs/perferences.
