 3s-gte PRICING question, How much for a swap |

Alright guys - i dont know if you know or not but ive been waiting around for a good deal so i can purchase my celli (still without one) and once i do im going to do the 3s-gte engine swap. Now, i have heard tons of different swap figures as in how much it costs but i was curious if this sounded logical...
engine $1500 (2nd gen) shipped $300-400?? mechanic says he can put it in for around $800-1000 going to change the exhaust size to a 3inch pipe back $200 dollars new sparkplug wires plugs possibly an engine tune up.. $200 so im at 3,300 which is a lot less than a lot of people keep saying and thats being pretty generous i think on my part... What am i missing? possibly a clutch? add $400-500 any ideas?? |

clip is the front end of the car firewall forward -
To tell if it is a second gen, i THINK it will have a model number on it and you will be able to tell from that or you can ask the person who is selling it - sometimes dicey.. anyhow im sure there is a marking on the engine somewhere that tells you exactly what gen it is.. |
