This just started about two days ago.
When the car is moving (not necessarily under acceleration) I'll hear this soft tapping, clunking from the front right side. It doesn't occur in regular intervals, and is pretty soft, I can only hear it if I turn off the radio. The sound doesn't seem associated with bumps or turning the wheel, as I can hear it when I'm just going in a straight line. I've just had the ST sway bars put on, but from what I've read, this doesn't seem like the sound it would make if they were rubbing. Any ideas? loose control arm? CV joint? I tried that method and it didn't work for me. The mechanic told me the car has to be under load to make the noise (i.e. weight on the wheels). Mine was the wheel bearing.
