I want everyones honest opinion on this. What do you all think about an Electric supercharger on a celica?

well to get one to work properly you would need to retune your vehicle same as adding any forced induction product onto a vehicle, but you also need to reevaluate your onboard electrical systems, if the fan was made with a high pressure ratio in mind the amperage draw from it would be huge... thought needs to be put into an elecrical unit same as any other form of FI system... this is why you do see proven results of these sometimes from companys who have put real thought into actually developing one, now i highly doubt you will see one of these developed kits fly through ebay, but it can be done and it is out there, but its much more than sticking a fan into your intake and running the power and ground to your battery, i have yet to see one with a proper VFD, now that would be sweet... you can set up the parameters so that the VFD speeds up and slows down the fan depending on throttle position and it would work much like a supercharger, only using an electric draw instead of mechanical draw... i dont know if this has been done yet or not, but thats actually a pretty damn good idea...
