Ghost, news flash, final cut has gained over 40% of the professional market
 I use it, and I started on old non linear editing bays. Never liked avid.BTW hioctane, there's no such thing as a GOOD camera with night vision- its a consumer "selling point" and is not included on any semi professional-professional grade cameras. What model camera does your dad have? and it uh.. writes to DVD? Pick one or the other, a good camera (your dads) or a crappy camera with night vision. I'd take your dads.
