This just started about two days ago.
When the car is moving (not necessarily under acceleration) I'll hear this soft tapping, clunking from the front right side. It doesn't occur in regular intervals, and is pretty soft, I can only hear it if I turn off the radio. The sound doesn't seem associated with bumps or turning the wheel, as I can hear it when I'm just going in a straight line. I've just had the ST sway bars put on, but from what I've read, this doesn't seem like the sound it would make if they were rubbing. Any ideas? loose control arm? CV joint? i had a similar problem. sometimes when i accelerated from a standstill or broke to a standstill, i would hear this loud popping/crunching sound from the front right side. it ended up my control arms. they needed 2 be tightened.
