I dont know if any of you remember but i was preaching about the 15k oil about a year ago. Most likely you dont cause im no big shot on here. But anyway, my uncle works for them and told me about but the government wouldnt let Mobil sell the product because it would put other companies out of business.
Well they did it finally and im switching my parents oil over to the 15k next oil change. even better is its around the same price as regular 3k oil. I highly recommend these new oils, especially if my uncle who is up in the ranks says they do what they really do. -------------------- hows it taste motha f*cka

This is something I've never understood about the US.
Why the hell do you guys change oil so often? On high powered cars that are driven hard I can understand it. On big lazy engines, cruising on the freeway, I don't. Fully synth is good for 20K or so. It really is. So's the filter. Hell, half decent mineral oil will do 7K without too many issues. BMW/Mercades etc use variable service intervals. The computer tells you when you need an oil change. 12K is normal. 15K is not uncommon. If fully synth comes out of mine every 4.5K looking good as new, and turbos are very very hard on oil, a 5S is going to get 12-15K on fully synth with no problems at all. I suspect it's fabulous marketing by the oil companies in the US...... -------------------- JDM ST205
