So, finally got my Tein springs installed. It was one tough work, but was truely worth it instead of having to pay around 200 for having some mechanics do it.
I didn't take out the whole suspension. I went lazy, and only took out the structs, by unscrew the 3 nuts on the top, and unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom, and tried to angeled and shove the struct out of the wheel well. Everything was fine and dandy until the part where you have to put the structs back in. The structs were a lil bit expanded and needed to be compressed to about half an inch shorter inorder to screw in the bottom screws. Me and 2 friends, it's like assembly line. After I take out the struct, I'll pass it on to my friend, and he'll compress the spring... and then my other friend will screw the struct back together and we will all try to shove that thing into place. While we're at it, my friend helped me replaced the brake pads. It was a good tiring work out... Tein S.Tech. Front (-1.4in), Rear (-0.9in). 10am to 2pm... -------------------- |

The huge box.
When standing up, the fronts are about 1in lower than the stock ones, the rears are about the same... (From Tein's website, the fronts are 1.5in drop, and the rear is only 0.9in drop) Front installed. If I stick some green question marks on the car with these springs, it'd be a Riddler's ride. So this was the problem we came up with. I guess working out has paid off... No, I went cheap and only did the springs. I'll change the whole setup later on, most likely drop it even lower This post has been edited by tomazws: Mar 29, 2005 - 2:29 AM -------------------- |
