I have a stock 3rd gen 3sgte from a 96 jdm gt4 in my car and I'm thinking New cams, valves, head gasket, head studs, valve springs, and a port and polish. My car is a daily driver, so i don't want the reliability to got to s***. I also don't know if the power gain would be worth the money.

andy, tell us what the readings are a idle. that will halp you figure out if your have a leak somewhere. what brand of boost gauge do you have?
you really dont have much to worry about. remember this is an oem toyota turbo motor. right now you are running less boost the what toyota built the motor to handle. youll be amazed at how much faster the car is by just turning up the boost. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

ok when I'm at idle it reads like 18 hg below zero or something like that it is and spw boost gauge.
I'm pretty sure I don't have a leak unless a very small one, I just don't understand why my car would being running such lower boost than stock with out a controler. Do you remember what your boost was at stock, or did you turn it up right away QUOTE(lagos @ Mar 30, 2005 - 6:40 PM) andy, tell us what the readings are a idle. that will halp you figure out if your have a leak somewhere. what brand of boost gauge do you have? you really dont have much to worry about. remember this is an oem toyota turbo motor. right now you are running less boost the what toyota built the motor to handle. youll be amazed at how much faster the car is by just turning up the boost.
