Well, like the title suggests, I might not be on for a long while. I still want to make the Pigeon Forge meet, but maybe not in the Celica.

At this point you're probably thinking I got in a wreck. The Celi is still fine and still running strong. Now to get to the point. I found a 92 MR2 NA for 3500 and am going to see about the money details first thing monday morning. It's a nice shade of blue(not factory), and has been well taken care of with just under 83k on it.
If I get it, I will post pics/details ASAP(and then find an MR2 board to hang with while still trying to keep up to date here). Just depends on what my bank says. I only owe 1500 on the Celica, so there shouldn't be a problem getting 5k to pay both off, or if I'm lucky getting 8k to cover the credit card as well. I don't care the % rate, as long as I have 2 of my 3 favorite cars in the driveway. I've been needing a second car anyways to prepare for the 7AFE giving up and being replaced with a 3SGTE(and then fortified with the goodies at the nice place Oreo posted about in Chicago).

[edit] forgot to mention, my brother in law is getting a Tiburon V6, which makes my need for a car with better power/weight ratio that much more important. He needs to be taught that a Hyundai is still a Hyundai and not a sports car. [/edit]

3500??

dude by a cheap old beater for like 1000 or so.  Then use the rest of the money to do the swap.
that's what i would do.  I do know a guy in town that has a 95 MR2.  He wants like 2500 for it.  Its the turbo version.  Already drove it once.  I am seriously looking into that.  Extremely fast.  And RWD. Please.

I don't know what it's like where you live, but here MR2s are hard to come by. Not to mention, go to xcars.com(an all MR2 sale board) and tell me 3500 isn't a good deal. Heck, search the internet classifieds. All I'd get for 1k would be something that's ready to die, unless I truly luck out.
And I'm not trying to use any money to do the swap yet. I am first concentrating on having 2 decent cars, then I'll be buying a house. If I win the lotto, then I'll do the swap this year, but other than that, it will be a couple years anyways.

And to the haters of the 5S MR2, it's got the Celica GT engine, less weight, mid engine, and RWD. Sure it won't be a racecar without an engine swap, but it will be much faster than the Celica.

Once again forgot to mention. the Hyundai has 180, the MR2 has 135. I have no problem keeping up with the Tiburon now, I don't know if they are geared funny or what, but they aren't fast.
