 anyone know what this light is for?, small red light, and small switch |

So this little red light is right on the dash and has never turned on so i payed no mind to it but now i want to know if anyone else has one, or knows what it could be for?
also theres a small switch under the ignition and i figured out it doesnt lead to anything just 2 wires that are like 3 inches long, any idea what it could have been for? thanks.  the red light:  the switch:  |

It`s the same switch I have for the aftermarket fogs, same location too.
