Synthetics have been able to go that long before, its just been kept hush hush. They say "new blend" but I doubt the 15K version is much different, it at all, of the standard Mobil 1 thats been out for awhile. Amsoil has had synthetic out that could go 30K but gov't but the kybash on it.

Amsoil has had synthetic out that could go 30K but gov't but the kybash on it. The Government? more like the big oil companies and car companies, Amsoil has been recommending extended drain intervals since the '70s,,, and it was 25000 miles, 35000 on the newer series 2000 & 3000 oils, even longer with their bypass filter system and oil analysis. I've been doing it for over 20 years, never had a problem because of it. Amsoil is the largest manufacturer of synthetics and has been doing it longer than anybody else. More info at: Amsoil.com |
