According to http://www.geocities.com/zegoat2000/THESWAP.html which has a ton of good info for a swap, the engine components you need are:
-the engine
-uncut wiring harness
-ecu
-ignitor
-ignition coil
-resistor pack
-maf unit
-top mount intercooler
My question is I know that you can get universal aftermarket ignition stuff. is there any reason you cant use this for the ignitor and ignition coil? im rather unknowledgeable about ignition in new cars.
Also, what is a resistor pack and what does it do? I searched on google and found nothing.
thanks for the info

brian

resistor pack is for the injectors. i suppose you "could" use aftermarket igniton components..but not like theres any "need" for it. its pretty common to see the mr2 guys running upwards of 350-400whp on stock ignition stuff.
besides, you REALLY want a clip for a swap anyway. wink.gif
