i have a linksys wireless G router that i use for wireless net connection with my laptop. the router is located in an upstairs bedroom and the laptop sits in the living room. the problem im having is that the laptop will get a lot of dropouts and will loose the net connection. do you guys have any tips on making this connection more realiable? anyone ever buy a range expander? how well do they work ? -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

QUOTE(thaimiishoe @ Apr 24, 2005 - 12:46 AM) return that linksys!! lol, ya I avoided them, went with netgear, and I only get dropouts almost never. well, i think it depends on your house, and how many walls the connection has to go through. ended up ordering an antenna kit for it... people seem to rave about it http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp...N82E16833124155 hope it does the trick -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
