Ugh... I tried to just post once, but after the day I had at work...

Ok, so you were approached in a plot and the cop asked your girlfriend if everything was ok... Not saying this is what happened, but it is a possible scenario:

For us, a Signal 54 means "Suspicious"... it's a catch all to describe a lot of things. We get calls like the example above all the time. Ever think someone in one of the businesses(who may be a racist and it may have been the reason they called if we want to get hypethetical) called in to the police about this? The cop, knowing it's a bullsh*t call, still has to respond. He goes out... asks one question, and he's done. And the public is happy. Except you b/c your g/f was asked if she was ok.


As for the laser incident... forget it. You're tagged with laser, you're getting a ticket unless the officer wrote the wrong laser serial number on the ticket. You say you have a laser detector that's 100% accurate? Biggest waste of money in the world. By the time you see the officer that pulls you over, of course you're not speeding. Why? B/C A) your laser detector went off or B)u saw him. Now for the catch: Your laser detector goes off? Know what that means? You got tagged... so congrats, you know you're likely going to be stopped 30 seconds more in advance than if you didn't have one. And that cop you saw parked a mile up the road so you knew not to speed? Guess what... You didn't see the other cop on the other side of the freeway/on the bridge above you a mile and a half back, that is actually shooting the laser.

Tonight work sucked. I had a bomb threat and had to evacuate a mall, took a shooting call, had a major stabbing just to name a few...

Ever wonder why cops get tired of people? Countless calls about people who don't know how to be parents and want the po-po to do it for them. Hell, I had this bitch complain to me today that one of our police departments was a joke b/c they didn't respond to her fast enough. She got into a verbal dispute with her boyfriend and she wants to turn him in b/c he's wanted. Oh, but he's gone now.

Hell... it took damn 15 minutes to respond to that call. Why? Well, b/c a drug deal down the street went bad and an innocent person was shot. Oh, not to mention the girl who was stabbed defending herself from a man trying to rape her. And that bomb threat at the mall... hell that could have been delayed as well. Bitch... you got in a verbal argument with your boyfriend who is no longer there. She was in no immediate danger, and the boyfriend she's loved and not turned in for a year all of a sudden pisses her off, and now she wants to be a good citizen. 15 minutes isn't a long wait. Tells me she's gonna write her representative. Sad part is, she's got 7 children by this man...it's the only thing stupid people do well: Breed.
