In these past two days, when I turn my subs up moderately high, they go crazy and start hitting randomly. At this point I turn down the music, and the random beats continue for anywhere from 5-30 seconds. I normally listen to my music with the volume set at about 20 or 22, but now I can't even go above 18. Does anyone know how this could possibly happen?

umm damn you said that the beat coming from the sub is totally different from the song, yea check all the wires, i can stress that it might be power but, if you running 8 or 4 gauge wire then there is not problem, i guess then it must be your deck (HEAD UNIT)

What would be a problem with the head unit? Could I have blown the amp in it or something?

I checked all the wires and they're all connected just fine, I have to find out if my dad has a wire tester though and see if the power through the wires is all right.
