i know that everyone has seen this so called "performance chip" for sale on ebay. it promises to add 10 to 20 hp. well i always thought it was crap and would never consider buying it but i have a friend who spends all his spare time online and bought this thing off ebay for me. its just a wire looking thing that is supposed to plug into the intake temp sensor and from what i got out of reading the instructions it just tricks the ecu by sending a signal saying the air is actually colder than it is thus adding more fuel. i was gonna put it in and give it a try but i don't know if its a good idea. from reading it i think i would be running rich. but i don't know that much. would that really be bad for the engine? is this thing worth a try? i don't really care either way since it was free and all but if it would make any difference i figure its worth a try if it wont be disasterous to my engine. give me some input what do you guys think

"hey west minist

they do not understand that most horsepower does not come cheaply or spending atleast a moderate amount of money."

as a matter of fact i do understand that it cost money to build power. but unforunately i have to pay my own bills as well as put myself throught school all on a grocery store pay. so dont mind me if i ask a simple question. there was no need for a stupid remark like that all i wanted was a more informed answer since i do not know everything about cars, so if your gonna make stupid remarks do it somewhere else. not where i am asking a legitimate question.
