Basically, the difference is the 't.' And that 't' stand for Turbo. The 3sgte is a facorty turbocharged engine whereas the 3sge is not. There are a few differences here and there, but other than that they are the same exact engine except one is turbocharged and the other is not.
The MR2 came with a 2nd gen 3sgte. The Celica came with the 3sge in other countries. Both are strong engines indeed. the 2nd gen 3sgte will give out about 220 hp and then 3sge about 170 hp. Those numbers are off the top of my head and could be made up. So please check these or someone correct me. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |
