Are you thinking about a 16 valve or 20 valve 4A-GE? I'm not sure on the compression ratios of the older 16v engines, but the 20v engines have high compression ratios that would have to be lowered in order to turbo the engines through the use of internal engine parts such as low compression pistons. Also, I don't think the internals on the 20v engines can withstand a lot of boost without modifications, so you'd probably end up spending a lot of money on hard to find internal parts from Japan, as well as the turbo, manifold, intercooler, etc.

I think that you'd end up spending a lot of money, and it'd probably be cheaper to do a ST185 3S-GTE swap, plus chances are that you'd have more power, unless you really build up the engine and get some nice turbo components. wink.gif

On the other hand, it'd be very, very unique, and it'd be completely awesome to have a turbocharged, high-revving engine with the technology that the 20 valve 4A-GE has such as quad throttle bodies and five valves per cylinder. biggrin.gif
