3sge? 3sgte? Options

my bad but what the heck is the difference between a 3sge and 3sgte? i know the engine 3sgte but never heard of 3sge? is that an MR2 engine or something? anyways help me. i mean 2nd generation 3sge - is it strong? how much HP? let me know. thanks.

i am asking all this cause im buying a 87 mr2 shell and the guy said he'll throw me in a 3sge engine. so i figure i've never seen or heard of the 3sge. so i just wanna ask yall if its a good engine or whatnot.

I see a problem with that. 1st gen MR2's came with 4A engines. So you're going to have to modify the engine mounts on the MR2 to accomodate the 3S-GE. Also you're going to have a nightmare wiring up the 3S-GE onto the MR2. Would be a lot easier if you had a 2nd gen MR2.
