i am wiring three type r's and i am doing it as pictured.
![]() but my amp is a DEI (directed, viper etc) and where you connect the power, ground, remote, speaker + - it is not your average screw connecter but a seperate peice that the wire is inserted into and is than plugged into the amp. my question is as follows. when i run all three positive and negative wires... they will not fit in the given hole. Could i run them (12 ga) and use a butt connector to splice all three into a single (8-12 ga) wire and run that to the amp? essentially i would be running three wires the +, or - and than turning them into one wire before entering the amp. _____________ _____________ [splice] amp (+) _____________ _____________ _____________ [splice] amp (-) _____________ or would that restrict them, thanks for your time This post has been edited by blkGT: May 11, 2005 - 9:46 PM |
