Car wont start, clicking Options

So I got back from college and today I was going to take the car out and then i checked everything over to make sure everything would be alright like oil and tire pressure and what not. Well i go inside and put the key in and try to turn her over and all she does is click and then i try again and nothing, just a single click. well after a few tries it stopped from a single click to just when turning the key it would constantly click if the key was trying to start the car over so i was like wow that is interesting and it doesnt sound very good. anyone know what the problem is? i figure it's the starter but could be something else, im not entirely sure at all.

You can also have bad contacts in the starter. I had to have mine replace becuase they were corroded. You can read a classic case here:

Mine would just click, and no turn over, then after about 3 to 4 clicks it would start, after reading the description in the website, found out the contacts were worn out. This is a know problem for the contacts in the starter, no need to replace the eniter starter.
