ok, i got my celi in april of last year. a few months later, one of my good friends gets a '94 GT. thats cool, hes a good friend and has a sweet car with me. about 4 months ago, someone else i kind of hang out with gets a '94 GT. this isnt good because he hasnt even driven it yet and has riced the **** out of it (42 different colors, body kit with steelies and no hubcaps, blue sticker interior dash kit, etc.). that kind of made me mad, but then another 6gs went to the biggest douche bag in missouri. the worst part is that he thinks hes cool. im just starting to get pissed that a lot of people nobody likes is getting my car. my car is being looked at by other people like a civic now, as if it's not even rare or exotic or anything. its just a car. i hope the last 2 that got the car wreck it very soon but arent hurt

I dunno, I like seeing other Celicas around, gives me a sense of comraderie
![]() Also, you'll naturally notice more and more celicas, which is not necessarily due to more celicas popping up but because of your growing familiarity with the celica, you notice them around more often because the familiarity allows the brain to recognise them more easily. (I've spotted a silver GT-FOUR about 80 m away just from seeing the spoiler and rear quarter panel while turning my head to speak to a mate.) This process tends to be especially true when you first get acquainted; I certainly started to notice a good number of 6gcs once I got into Celicas. I think there's a name or description of this neural process, but can't for the life of me remember what it is. -------------------- ![]() |

I _always_ nod and or greet other people with 6th gen celicas when I'm driving around in mine. 97% of them are either a) 100% stock and not taken good care of, or b) they have this totally riced out HUGE bench like rear wing or some stupid 7 colors paint or something, and my car look way better even when it's stock. So I don't think of it as a problem at all. People still turn their heads when I drive past because I keep my car nice and clean and always washed and shiny. People are tired of all the ricers no matter what car they drive and hence don't care to look after them anymore. Just keep up the good work and don't care about those spoiled brats that buy Celicas and trash them. A genuine fan or entusiast will show on the outside anyway, so you should be just fine ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
