v6 question Options

just wondering, i have noticed that camry's come with a v6 but i also noticed that the camry was released with a 5sfe in it also that lays in the engine bay the same way that the engine sits in my celica. i was wondering if it is feasible to swap a v6 camry engine into a celica i figured it would work seeing as how one of the choice trannies for a 3sgte is a v6 camry tranny and that the stock tranny for a st204 fits also so i figure in theory that a v6 camry engine swap would work with my stock trany i guess i would just need mounts ecu and harness right? or would it be a more complicated swap than expected?

Kinda uncharted territory with these cars. As far as I know, theres no such swap ever done. Doesnt mean it cant, just means nobody has done it, or tried. What generation Camry engine are you looking at? 94-96 Camrys had the 1MZ-FE while the 92-93's had the 3VZ-FE.

Personally, I think this is very do-able. Especially since its been done in MR2s for awhile now. I think someone needs to step and try it.

I'm also going to add that the Feasible engine swaps thread, needs to be revamped. I'm not convinced that the 2ZZ-GE engine cant fit in the Celica. The reasons listed are pretty weak IMO.

What is this all about? I'm sure I could swap one in with very minimal trouble. I've swapped one into a '98 Corolla and that was a little more difficult.

Is it worth it when the 3SGTE is such an easy option is the question

Anyway, the V6 is a feasible swap, and a good one for being unique and if you like the torque of a V6. Again, is it worth it when you have the 3SGTE option?
