Couple of videos in there of a 3rd gen 3s being tested with the megasquirt and spark with the Ford EDIS Iginition setup which is probably what I'll end up running on mine when ever I find some time and money to get started.

Well we're not talking about EDIS in it's stock form so the piggy back isn't an issue. I don't know why you think EDIS is tricky to wire up. It's a simple issue of two wires from the EDIS to the MSnS and then power to the coils/EDIS module. I definately think it's better than any distributor system simply for the fact that there is no cap or rotor to wear out. It seems so much simpler to me and the adjustability will all be controlled by the MSnS.
