how much bandwidth does it take to host a video on 6gc. I know its a generic question with alot of variables.

But lets say I want to post a 20mb video off my server on 6gc. How many people would download it. How much bandwidth am I expecting to use up?

I'm asking this because I dont have an idea how many active members are on 6gc, and how many lurkers.

I dont want to bust the bandwidth limit.

I just wondering if anyone who has hosted videos can tell me how much bandwidth it used up. I have a 120 gig bandwidth a month. I'm wondering how much of that will be used up with all the members here downloading the video.

Well, if the video is 20 MBs, and 2000 people download it, you'll use up 20X2000 MBs of bandwidth.. or 40 GB.

If you're worried about bandwidth, make the video smaller smile.gif I have posts on this forum on how to do that, should be under the search function for video... I've yelled at a few people smile.gif
