Hey guys, weird thing just started happening to my turn signal yesterday when it was pouring (don't know if rain had anything to do with it.) The indicator on the dashboard for the right turn signal blinks really fast only when I turn on the signal and brake at the same time. When I do not brake, the indicator blinks at normal speed. When I look at my rear lights, the turn signal flashes but so do the brake lights! It alternates back and forth between the brake lights and the turn signal (ie. turn signal on brake light off, and vice versa.) The left turn signal/brake lights work fine.
What do you think the problem is? Do I have to replace the relay? Where is the relay located? Thanks for help. |

definitely sounds like a burned-out bulb from the fast flashing, (half the load on the flasher) or a ground problem with the turn signal sockets (front or rear) sometime they can feed back thru the other filament in the dual filament bulbs when you lose ground, the path then goes back thru the base of the bulb, thru the 2nd filament, then to ground thru a different bulb on the same circ. Or the filaments burn in two and fall down to short across the other filament, (or someone was mounting new speakers and put a screw thru the harness shorting them together?)
