I have a 1994 ST Auto. If I'm not mistaken, there is a speed limiter of 111MPH because of the tires the car came with or whatever.
Reference: http://evilspeed.com/Speed_defeat.htm The problem is, this article is for Manual transmission STs only. It says if I were to do it with an Auto transmission, it would **** it up. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could remove the top speed limiter for my auto tranny celi. Thanks! -------------------- |

the st is rev limited but i'm not sure to what exactly.
the speed is governed (limited) to 110 from the factory, but different size wheels can affect that. HKS makes a speed limiter cut for around $45, mabey cheaper on ebay. also if you have any upgrades and want to moniter your performance, i suggest a APEXi RSM, it has a speed limiter cut built in and can measure all performance numbers. just be prepared to deal with metric numbers. and i got me celica to 130 with intake and exhaust, it wasn't that fast but i did get it there, and yeah mods won't make you go faster because its usually the tranny that resticts speed, but some cars run out of power before gear, just not the celi. -------------------- |
