I definitely have decided to go with the 3rd gen instead of the second even tho parts for the st185 are more common...but money isnt really an issue for me right now so i can afford this engine...would you guys say this is a good deal or no?? I know a lot of people on here preach "go with a clip" but the fact is i will never find a front clip of a 3rd gen and i thought this engine looks pretty legit...yes..no...any ideas?? The same company also has a really clean looking second gen for only 1200 check it out.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33615 Thanks..all opinions are welcome...i need celica owner perspectives...!! |

Are you swapping yourself?
If not, just buy it. The clip is nice cuz it serves a reference and has all the little misc parts. But if it's a shop's problem, whatever. You just may have to wait longer. Is so, it would depend on how good of a wrench man you are. If you're skilled and know a lot about what you're doing, you make it out just fine. But if this is your first swap, I'd try to make it as easy as possible. You may be able to find a 3rd gen 205 3S on some of the links provided in the engine swap write up. It's a sticky at the top of this forum. -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife
