CAI if you really want to do something... at least you can hear a difference in the sound and it'll make you think the car is performing better...
Speaking from personal experience.... I'd say save the $. It'll come in handy when you need to do routine maintenance. Water pump, timing belt, other drive belts, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, oil changes, ect... You could do all the work yourself above and just pay for the parts and that $150 will go a lot farther and will be better spent. Increase the longevity of your car, help performance, and give you more satisfaction. Just a thought... I remember when my clutch went, timing belt needed replacement, and had the water pump changed. It all happened at the same time...right when I was in transition between jobs and was tight on cash. An extra $150 would have been nice at that time. Just remember unexpected things happen at bad times and that money might be sorely missed if you spend it on something that'll make your 17 second car into a 16.89 second car if you're lucky. |
