Ok so I've been reading some random things online and some of it bugs me. Even the game review writers are being ignorant about some of the facts and histories of games.
I hope you all know that Need for Speed Underground wasn't the first Need for Speed right? It's actually like the 7th, and the origin of the series was to make a fairly realistic game rather than an arcade-style one. And that the 3 PS2 Grand Theft Auto games were each based off of a city in the original GTA? all pretty trivial stuff but it just bugs me that people don't know some of this stuff -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

They didn't start a revolution. LOL I'm not a NAZI, just trying to inform you. loosing=losing intrest=interest custemers=customers wen=when It's OK english must be your second language. And yes it was a matter of time before someone would introduce a console, and nintendo was it, nobody seen anything like super mario bro. 1, it was fresh and obviously made a huge impact on game developers influences.... therefore sparking a new generation of games thus revolutionizing..... The foundation that had been laid by Nintendo's predecessors was rock solid. The decline was due to a lack of new systems and games. You can only do so much with old technology. How do you impact an influece? You can impact a developer but their influence is all their own. How do you kinda go bankrupt? either you are or you aren't. No, the founation was weak because the atari 2600 was a bust. People were throwing those things away because no one wanted them. You couldn't even pay someone to take it. They rounded up millions of cartridges and blew them up in the desert. I know that sounds dumb, but it's true. The industry was dead until Nintendo and Mario came out. They single-handedly revitalized the industry and made it what it is today. Sega had the Master System, but it only had like 5% market share. I still think the Commodore 64 rules, because it was the first 8-bit computer ever and it came out in the early 80's, long before the NES. |
