The Project: Removing both High Beam's completely and replacing them with Intakes with the Air Filter's sitting directly in the High Beam housing.

The Plan: From the Intake Manifold, as a single pipe being attached, the 3" pipe will split into 2 seperate 3" pipes that will be mandrel bent into place to fit in the engine bay and line up to both High Beam housings. Both pipes with be cut slanted at the ends, and welded together to create one solid 3" end to sit the Intake Manifold (I think you can picture how they will need to be cut).

The Hypothesis: We are doing this for ****s and giggles mostly, to see what kind of performance we can come up with. What we are expecting is alot of forced air into the Intake Manifold (obviously). We discussed modifications to the engine very lightly, like adjustments to the A/F Ratio as well as better Fuel Pump and Injector's to handle the engine running rich with Air. We kind of thought we might damage the engine running this much forced air, but the 7AFE won't be around much longer, so i'm going to have fun with it and see what we can come up with. As far as a HP gain, i'm hoping to pull at least 10HP-15HP out of this, which might be pushing it. Thats including the upgrade in Fuel Pump and injectors, so i'm offically going to say 13HP.

We are going to the drawing board this Sunday in hopes to start getting the piping measure out and welded. I hope to see some good results!

now are you going to make a box or housing for both of the filters? if they dont have a box most of the air will just go around the filter, it will have to be forced in, hence the name, ram air
