I bought my Celica a while ago with stock (I think) Toyo tires on 15s. What should my PSI be? I think I might have been a little too eager and pumped it all the way to 38~40 PSI for the front.

QUOTE(Galcobar @ Jun 24, 2005 - 7:45 AM) The tire does NOT show the correct PSI, it shows the maximum it can run. Each car has a different correct PSI, even if they are using the same tires. The correct PSI is written on a label inside your glove box. Yea this is correct, that is the MAX! You can also find the correct tire pressure for your car on the inside of your door jam, like where the color code and stuff is, give it a check. I believe our celica are suppose to be run at 33PSI. Also for better handling you want it a little low, more tire touches the ground and grips better (most people run lower tire pressure at the track, more tires grips and they get off the line better). Also if you are lowered at all, then lower tire pressure allows the tire to take some of the impact when you hit bumps and stuff because it had a lil flex, instead of JUST your suspension. |
