 Auto Vs. Stick |

How sluggish is the Automatic tranny when compared to the stick???? Any issues with the auto?? I'm a manual tranny guy by heart and won't flinch at changing a clutch, but when it comes to the slushbox, that's uncharted territory. Plus sticks are more fun to drive.

I've driven an automatic GT and it's not that sluggish. The tranny actually felt pretty sporty for an auto.
That said, I would definitely go with a manual. I've driven manual STs and GTs, and they both are far better than the auto versions. I've never liked the way the S-54(GT tranny) feels at all, but I've only driven a '94 Celica GT and a '00 Camry with them...maybe it was just those two cars. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
