I have been thinking how great to have a GTFour biggrin.gif and was wondering if it it possible to get one. I know I can buy one in Canada and drive it down to the US, but how hard is it and what laws are there confused.gif ? Has anyone done this before?

hey slow celic-uh..*gives midel finger*. We cant get them up here because its to cold eh?*as s* We cant get them because of the canadian Classic car importing act. Aka, we cant import any car from any where in the world(except U.S.) unless its 15 years old or older. U.S. cars we can import if they are 7 years or some crap like that. But we wont be able2 import them untill 2009. And for clipsetuner, if u do get one brought over to Van., ur gonna run into alot of problems. 1, being that they check vin numbers of every car that is shipped over from japan(my buddy runs an importing business). When they run that vin number, they will do one of 2 things. One, send it back 2 japan(at your expense), or 2, give u a temporary permit to drive the veichle. When that permit expires, u cant get plates on the car. I think trying to get the car over the boarder with that temp permit is gonna b harder. Usually you can keep a veichle for 6 months here if it is for off road use only(racing, shows, to sit in ur garge lookin pretty). If that car is not deported within 6 months of the importing date, it will be confiscated and impounded. If it is not picked up within 24 hours of being impounded, it will be crushed. Then the crushed bits will have to be picked up from the impound lot, then be shipped back to japan, once again at your cost. Honestly, i would wait, do a gt4 knock off, or spend the money if u really want to, go out n buy a cheap gt with high miles on it, buy a gt4 front clip with motor, gt4 rear end and do a coustom 4wd conversion on the GT. it will probably cost about the same as going out, finding a gt4 in japan, shipping it over only to get shipped back. So good luck buddy, your going to need it.
