Subwoofer ain't workin'..., OMGWTFPWNED Options

Well one day my system just stopped working altogether. First thing I suspected was RCA wires/jacks. I bought new wires and tested them. Nothing. So I tested it with a different CD player. Nothing. I've taken the sub out of the box and inspected it, and it has no signs of being blown. It's a 800W max. sub bridged to a 2-channel 400W amp. I checked all connections between the amp and the sub, along with all the fuses, and everything looks fine. I also checked to see if the amp is getting power, and it is. I'm just not getting any boom boom!

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Note that the amp isn't generating any heat whatsoever, but I wouldn't think that it would in the first place if it's not having to use any power other than being turned on.

coils dont have to be locked for the sub to be blown they can move freely and act as if they were in fine condtion but in fact be blown. test the ohm load at the back of the sub if it reads zero or some crazy nuber then its blown. thats my suggestion.

I'm not a genious with the way speakers work or anything, but it seems odd that an 800W sub could be blown by a 400W amp. Also, this didn't happen while I was in the car. I got off work one night and came home with it working fine. When I got in the car the next day to go to work, it wasn't working.
