Despite several days of almost continuous rain, decided to go down to the Champion Dragway at Meremere anyway this morning. Man, was that start line like ice or what? confused.gif First time I've ever managed to get the GT4 to spin its wheels in second gear! biggrin.gif Very damp surface to add the the usually crap start line area anyway. No VHT laid down as the meet wasn't important enough rolleyes.gif

Not very good conditions for good times - especially with the car as is - ie, spare wheel/jack in boot, road tyres, etc.... Still, everyone was in the same boat smile.gif

14.480 isn't anything to shout about, but given the conditions and as it was the 4's first trip to the strip, can't complain wink.gif

And yes, before someone points it out - I was asleep at the start redface.gif

its great to see what a real gt4 would run. i hope next time u can take it out on a dry day. its cool to know that a swaped 6th gen is about the same performace as a gt4.

Hahahaha. No way. The track was a greasy as hell out there yesterday - FWD cars were struggling big time. Most of the high power ones (and the RWD cars too) were posting 16 - 18 second times. There is no way on earth that a FWD turbo'd Celica would have posted a mid 14 sec run in those conditions - I can assure you wink.gif
Fully expect to be sub 14 sec in the dry - maybe even mid to low 13s once I have completed the planned mods biggrin.gif
