Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Bottom line, this this rocks - great mod for $45. This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 12:24 AM -------------------- |

It really isn't that hard to install and it is more fun to drive after QUOTE(Jaws4God @ Jul 10, 2005 - 11:08 PM) Batman, did the ebay kit (7th gen) come with all of the parts you need specified in those instructions? -clips -cup remover no, it didn't. So what you do is... for the clip, either use the old one or buy a clip at a hardware store that looks like this or or one will probably cost about $ .25 for the cup remover, just use a pair of pliers just don't squeeze the plastic cup too hard and crush it. I had no problem getting the cups off and then back on the new shifter. This post has been edited by Batman722: Jul 10, 2005 - 11:44 PM -------------------- |
