I decided I didnt want the yellow anymore, and I decided I wanted darker tails. Therefore, I decided to do both with the help of Testors candy apple red, black window tint, and clear coat. I am really happy with the results:

Haha, glad to see some purple Celi parts.
Do you guys have trouble seeing your turn signals/brake lights in direct sunlight? I know I had too much paint on mine and my friends would always complain that I never used my turn signals, but it was just because they were so hard to see. Also, how much clear did you use and how thick did you shoot it on? It doesn't look very glossy. I sanded the paint off of my tails and then wetsanded with 600 grit before I shot two coats of clear on it, and they look very, very glossy now.

[/quote Well I pretty much scuffed my tails, and then went at it with the paint. I began by spraying the red all over, 5 coats on the yellow corners and 1 on the red part, to equalize the red all over. I then used 5 coats of window tint spray, followed by 3 coats of clear. All of my coats were very very thin and I didnt wetsand or anything between switching colors, and no they are a very matte finish, not gloss at all. I may want to redo it somehow in order to get the glossier appearance. I believe I can see my turn signals just fine in direct sunlight. |
