![]() What is this little "box" on my intake? I can only imagine it's some sort of silencer or something.. To keep the sound from the intake down.. Then again, I'm mechanicly impaired (spelling?) and don't know crap about engines. -------------------- ![]() |

your guess is correct. It also helps reduce sudden surges of air from going into your engine.

Also, what would the difference be, if I removed it? Or closed the hole that goes from my intake "tubing" and into that box.. If you make a custom or buy a prebuilt CAI or Short ram intake, that box goes away, so it can't be all that bad.. Or?
