A newbies intro and question Options

Hey everyone,

I just joined, and I firstly wanted to say that it's great to find a community devoted to celicas. I've always loved them, and I'm looking to buy my own 6G next year, and hopefully to swap in a 2nd or 3rd gen 3S-GTE. I'm currently entering grade 12, and while I know im a youngin, I am definitely NOT into the whole rice/ street racing scene that alot of idiots my age are. Anyways, I've been searching alot of buy/sell sites such as autotrader.ca (I'm canadian) and many of the celicas I see are auto. In fact, I could find barely an that were not auto, and I was wondering why that is. The ones I could find in standard were all more expensive (as I'd like ot pay under 10g's if possible, to allow as much money for the swap). Anyways, I was just hoping to get the imput of all you more experienced guys...if I could get some info as to why/ where to look, that'd be great. Hopefully I'll learn alot from this site, so as to be as prepared as possible for my first project car. Thanks.

yeah i'm not happy that my car is auto or that she's an ST, im sure you'll hear me complain about that a lot hopefully i can change that some day lol

yeah this site is very helpful for a lot of things, and there are some very knowledgeable people on here that can help you with questions
