In inspiration from a couple other threads I've read lately, post up what is wrong with your car.
Mine: 1. Clearcoat flaking off roof, spoiler, and mirrors; paint fading underneath 2. Needs a timing belt within the next 500 miles or so but I'll probably wait 3. Funny sound from front left, suspect CV troubles but might just be somethin stuck in it 4. AC compressor dying, still works but whines like a supercharger lol 5. Car smells like ass from previous owner, re-upholstery and carpeting planned 6. Throttle cable has a lot of slack, but I can't get one shipped to this tiny town within the next month Otherwise the car is in pretty good shape for being 11 years old and having 122,000 miles. Very little rust, not much for dents or anything and is mostly just dirty in ways you cannot comprehend bc of the idiot previous owner. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

Yeah Coomer, the amp used to pop everytime I turned it on, but that has subsided since I put it in. It's an MA Audio amp, and I dont exactly think they engineer them to turn on/off very smoothly.
Now the problem is that while its operating at high or even at low volumes, it very occasionally pops the speakers like the power was interrupted, which is what it seems to do, then the speakers kick back on again. Sometimes the volume of my amps varies noticably too....I know its hard to diagnose without seeing it, but I'm confident that this is the problem. I figured it was a battery shortcoming simply because its an old battery that I've been using for the past 3 years I've owned the car and even longer since the previous owner had used it for a while...unless you think it could be something else.
