Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Bottom line, this this rocks - great mod for $45. This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 12:24 AM -------------------- |

QUOTE(Jaws4God @ Jul 21, 2005 - 1:13 AM) QUOTE(Batman722 @ Mar 29, 2005 - 9:07 AM) I think they were talking about that piece. The GREEN ARROW I didn't cut mine and it's smooth. I might hack it out tomorrow and see if there is a difference... I just got mine today in the mail.... I think i'll tackle it tomorrow :-) thank you batman for the info... but I was wondering about the plastic piece... I don't see the pic so i'm not sure what you all cut.. Thank You! :-) for the plastic tabs, that might have just been mine, cause i did the evo lancer one. The tabs that sit under the shift linkage, in the housing, right after the clips. The hold the linkage up a lil bit so it bends, but the 7th gen could be dif. I know that mine was sitting to low an bending. Which made it hard to shift. like it was workout putting it into gears.. an i drove liekt hat for 3 weeks..
